Thanks man. I had to try and fix it, it is a 60g. It actually runs better now that the pound of dust is cleaned out. I would of loved to see the guy at sony customer service guys face after I told him how long its been on for. He thought I just had it on but on standby but he was quite surprised when I told him the green light has been on for 2 1/2 years.

Yes the phat are bad for heat. My 60g ylod'd last month ( maybe cause it was on 24/7 for 2 1/2 years) but I bought a cheap heat gun, fixed it and then returned the heat gun for my money back. Now if only the psn was up I would be on MNR.

Whats with all the poo pushers worrying about trees, skidmarks, tire smoke and skyboxes in a game made for people that love.....oh what do you call thoose things ummmm..... CARS. Sorry if you have time to look at trees and grass you are not going fast enough and your definitely not in first place. This game is about the way the cars look and handle for people that love cars and not trees.

There is absolutely no console racing game that looks this good right now. Anybody that thins otherwise needs to upgrade to HDTV, get thier eyes checked or check themselves into a mental institute.

The only reason I have a console is for the GT series. I could care less about GOW (even though its awsome) or any other game, I only want GT.

The wheel makes any racing game awsome. I just got the G27 for christmas and it just feels right. I am not that much faster with it yet but just need the practice but I will never use the controller again for a racing game. My tuned car times are pretty sad...1:39:997 with controller and 1:39:677 with the wheel forget abou my regular car times they are laughable.

on topic- I am still amazed that even with all these off screen vids the game looks better than any other console racer out there. Just imagine when we get HD vids (or the game itself ) people are gonna have to buy mops for all the mouth watering and in some cases the crying.

Actually you should stay in school. Then you would know that component cable can output 1080p and the only thing HDMI did was integrate the audio and video into one cable so you don't have a mess in the back of your t.v like you do in the back of your pants. Thank you have a nice day.

Your all wrong. If you are gonna sit there and say that you can output HD with a component cable ( which is true) the you can't possibly forget that the PS2 had this option ( along with Fiber optic 4 sound) and could do 480p and 1080i. So in conclusion the PS2 was the first "console" to introduce HD gaming with digital sound as a bonous.

That is pretty much how those 908's handed this week end. If you watch the race you would have seen all three 908's spinout and 2 didn't finish ( well I fell asleep with an hour left) which left Audi once again dominating 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Those LMP cars weigh nothing and with the amount of torq produced by the diesel motors its not hard to spin one.
